Making Magic with Ole & Steen: From Valentine's Love to Year-Round Delights
Here's a fun fact: when Ole Kristoffersen and Jane Borup opened their first bakery in Copenhagen back in 1991, they called it "Lagkagehuset" (that's "layer-cake house" in Danish). Why? Their beautiful square building from the 1930s actually looked like a giant layer cake, with its alternating cream-coloured stripes! Talk about destiny for a bakery.
Fast forward to today, and that single Copenhagen shop has grown into something pretty special. When they decided to bring their Danish delights to London in 2016, they became Ole & Steen, opening their first store in St James' Market. Since then, they've been busy spreading hygge and amazing pastries across multiple locations in the UK and New York City. Not bad for a bakery inspired by a building that looks like a cake!

For this year's season of love, we helped Ole & Steen add a touch of romance to their bakery boxes. We designed custom greaseproof paper in gorgeous reds and pinks, and created a bespoke sleeve for their limited-edition Valentine's Social.
